BF2142 Clan Mod

BF1943, BFBC2 and BF2142 patch 1.51
There's a lot happening in the BF universe right now, but things are slow with the BF2142 patch. It's exciting to see that BF1943 and BFBC2 will soon be coming out to PC and that the BC2 beta is supposed to start next week. I have been asked on whether or not I'll be creating a Clan Mod for BF1943 and BFBC2 and the answer is most definitely no. First off, I'm not even sure that DICE has fixed mod support for these games, but even if they did, there'd probably be no Clan Mod. I think and hope that the need for a Clan Mod does not exist in these games - from what I know, there'll be no unlocks whatsoever in BF1943.

However, I know that a lot of you love the in-game chat administration system, and that is something that I might re-code and add to BF1943 and BC2, if possible. Also, if there's a need of a flag by flag game mode, I might try to fix that too.

But what about BF2142 and the Clan Mod? There is actually some news about the 1.51 patch. The latest information I've heard is that the patch will be finished and released after the release of BFBC2 - which means that it'll be in March, at the earliest. The plan is to fix a new Clan Mod version to support the new patch following the release, hopefully including a community made map. But it's yet too early to speculate in what will be in the new CM version. I can, however, definitely tell you that there'll be no new CM version before the patch has been released.
